Passport, Visas, Tourist Cards

Most visitors entering El Salvador have no problems with immigration. If you are British or Australian, you’ve got it the easiest, all that you need is a passport that will remain valid for at least six months after your departure date, and a return ticket, and you are allowed to enter El Salvador and stay for up to 30 days with no additional paperwork.Peru2

If you are traveling from Canada, the United States, or other countries in the European Union, you must meet the above requirements and in addition you must purchase a Tourist Card for $10 US upon entry. The card is valid for 30 days, however it can be extended.

Visa requirements and entry regulations can change, so it is good to check with the El Salvador Embassy for current information.
