Musica.com.sv features typical Latina music, including the more traditional Andina, Cumbia, Folklor and Salsa, right down to the modern-day reggeton (of which I am not a fan… at all.) The Museo ¡Ajá! Centro de Culturas y Artes Populares is a great way to spend an afternoon discovering arts and culture in Santa Ana. The Museum is open from 3 pm to 7 pm Wednesday to Sunday and admission is free! Visitors wishing to tour around the museum Wednesday to Friday need to set an appointment.

Driving in El Salvador, especially in San Salvador, can be a little intimidating if you’ve only ever driven on proper North American roads (excluding Manhattan, obviously – if you can navigate that city, you will be just fine…)

The Comalapa International Airport is located 45 minutes outside of San Salvador, and is the main airport for passengers and cargo coming into the country. It has all the comforts of a modern airport: duty-free shops, excellent restaurants, tourist and information centers, and all the major rental car kiosks.

Upon arrival to the airport you first have to pay the entrance fee ($10 for 90 days.) After you purchase your card you have to pass through immigration, where they check your passport and card. Then it is on to baggage claim.

Water Parks for the Whole Family in El Salvador

Before you reach the Jaltepeque estuary, you will find Atlantis water park, the first and biggest water park in El Salvador, located at kilometer 51 on the road to Costa del Sol in La Libertad.
